Work-life balance, often referred to as work-family balance
or life-work balance, refers to an employee’s ability to
minimize stress by having an adequate balance between
the responsibilities of work and home life. In this Landscape Analysis funded by First 5 LA in partnership with the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce, Ruby Ramirez and Katie Fallin Kenyon of Kenyon Consulting provide an overview of family-friendly practices, policies, benefits and programs provided by employers that increase the well-being of employees and enhance support for families. As the success of any
organization depends on the stability and productivity of
its workforce, it is important to understand how family-friendly policies impact employee stability and productivity
and therefore create benefits for the employer.
