What a long, extraordinary trip it’s been.

First 5 LA’s journey toward shaping legislation in Sacramento in 2018 that began last fall has racked up some impressive – and unique – numbers.

Propelled by planes, their brains and automobiles, members of First 5 LA’s Public Policy and Government Affairs team trekked tirelessly to 100 meetings with elected officials throughout Los Angeles County and in Sacramento in order to support, help shape and advocate for new laws that would benefit young children and their families in California (see related article here).
