Summary:

To better understand the needs of Family Child Care (FCC) and Family Friend & Neighbor (FFN) care in Los Angeles County and the families who access them within the subsidy system, First 5 LA – in partnership with the Child Care Alliance Los Angeles (CCALA) and Child Care Resource Center (CCRC) – launched a landscape analysis of the County’s Home-Based Child Care (HBCC) field in the fall of 2021. The Landscape Analysis was conducted over a three-year prior with the resulting publication, “The Landscape of Home-Based Child Care in Los Angeles County: A Framework for Future Planning” released in June 2023.

This webinar, tailored toward organizations that currently support and/or are interested in working with Family, Friend, and Neighbor (FFN) child care providers, Family Child Care providers, and families who use home-based care for their children as well as advocates, policy-makers, researchers, philanthropists and other interested stakeholders dedicated to supporting home-based child care providers, breaks down the finding from the Landscape Analysis, as well as shares policy and system-strengthening recommendations to support HBCC providers.
