First 5 LA wants to congratulate Best Start Metro LA on their vision of empowering parents as leaders in the community through a Culture of Respect campaign. More than 1000 Best Start Metro LA families and at-large Metro LA community members have participated at one of the various events to promote the campaign and more than 500 individuals have signed the Pledge Towards a Culture of Respect to outline their personal commitment to transform their communities by transforming themselves. The principles of this community-wide effort are: Mutual Respect, the Positive Upbringing of Children, and Equality for All People.

We invite you to watch their journey as they co-design and create a mobile mural that reflects their vision.
