Justin Blakely serves as the Public Policy Manager for Crystal Stairs, Inc., one of the largest child development service providers in Los Angeles County, where he advances local, state, and federal early care and education policy priorities impacting children and families across the county.
He was appointed by Los Angeles County Supervisor Holly J. Mitchell to the Policy Roundtable for Child Care and Development and currently serves as Chair, leading the development of policy recommendations to the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors.
Justin is the Co-Founder of Black Californians United for Early Care and Education, a statewide advocacy organization focused on advancing equity and addressing systemic barriers affecting Black children, families, and child care providers. He serves on the organization’s Board of Directors and has held leadership and advisory roles on nonprofit boards at both the local and statewide levels.
He is a graduate of California State University, Dominguez Hills, and UCLA, and brings extensive experience in public policy, community advocacy, and civic leadership.
