YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles
With more than 20 locations in Los Angeles County, the YMCA features swim, sports and play for children and adults. There are parent-child swim classes, plus a variety of swim classes for children ages 3-5. Financial assistance and free seven-day passes are available.

The Bicycle Kitchen
The Bicycle Kitchen is a nonprofit bicycle repair educational organization. Volunteers in Los Angeles have tools and stands for working on bicycles and will help you repair your bike. They also have on hand old, donated bike parts and some semi-complete bicycles. Sometimes fully-operational bicycles are available.
