60 LAUSD "Grab & Go" Food Centers to Open
With school closures due to COVID-19, the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) will open 60 "grab & go" food centers throughout L.A. County by Wednesday, March 18th.
Previously, LAUSD had planned to open 40 Family Resource Centers at designated schools. Citing concerns about the risk of COVID-19 spread, LAUSD decided to halt the opening of family resource centers and replace them with food centers where families can simply take food to go.
