Social Distancing — and Connection
In this time of social distancing, it is more important than ever for us to feel connected to families, friends and community. To help, First 5 LA is offering ideas each week for activities that help us have fun, learn and connect with one another as we “hunker down”. We can get through this together!
- Create a virtual read aloud group with other families over FaceTime or another virtual video chatting program.
- Invent some silly new yoga poses with your child. Ask others to do the same, then share virtually.
- Create lentil or bean sprouts: Place regular lentils or dried beans on a wet paper towel, seal in a small plastic bag and leave in a sunny window. Watch them sprout in a couple of days and then enjoy a few in a salad!
