Pathway Dribble – Get Out & Play!

This game allows young children to learn how to dribble a ball with their feet.

Suggested age: 3 to 5 years old

Materials needed:

  • Jump ropes, tape or chalk
  • Balls (preferably slightly deflated for better control)

Instructions: Set up the playing area with different length jump ropes or tape pathways. Tape jump ropes to the floor, or use masking tape or chalk (if outside) to make a pathway. You can also use arrows to guide your child. Have your child use his feet to move the ball through the pathway using “soft touches.” Tell him to use both the inside and outside of his feet.
