Get Ready to Vote!

Election Day is Tuesday, November 5. Are you ready to make your voice heard? Here are some things to know before you vote:

  • Who/what’s on the ballot? This fall, issues surrounding local school districts and elected officials will appear on ballots in a variety of L.A. County cities. To learn more about what is happening in your area, visit lavote.net for information on Measures Appearing on the Ballot and a Final List of Qualified Candidates.
  • Are you registered to vote? You can register to vote or check to see if you are registered by visiting lavote.net.
  • Are you voting by mail? All registered voters in Los Angeles County can vote by mail if they choose to. Vote by Mail ballots are mailed to your home address and can arrive as early as 29 days before Election Day. Your ballot must be postmarked by Election Day and received by the L.A. County Clerk’s office within three days. Visit lavote.net for more information on Voting Options.
  • Learn where your polling place is for 2019. Where do you vote this year? It may have changed. Look up your polling place before Election Day at lavote.net!
  • Learn about new voting centers for 2020. In 2020, L.A. County will modernize the voting experience by transitioning from polling places to vote centers. Over an 11-day period, voters will be able to cast a ballot at any vote center location in the county. To learn more, visit vsap.lavote.net.
