ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS
The Respondent will possess the following qualifications and skills related to Design-Build Services.
Minimum Requirements
- Five (5) years of Design-Build experience for Public Works facilities renovation projects.
- An established local office within 60 miles of the renovation project site
- Class B General Contractor’s License in good standing with the State of California is required.
- Bonding capacity of $3 million or greater
Please note that Respondents that do not meet the requirements above will not pass the first level of review (see Section VIII. Selection Process and Review Criteria of RFQ).
DESCRIPTION
This Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is a solicitation for Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from those entities (Respondents) interested in serving as the Design-Builder to provide design, construction, and commissioning services for First 5 LA for the above named Project. The SOQs must be submitted in accordance with the requirements set forth in this document.
Only written responses will be considered. All materials submitted will become part of the response and may be incorporated into any subsequent contract(s) between First 5 LA and the selected Respondent.

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
To ensure that all potential applicants receive the same information, questions and answers will be compiled and posted on this webpage. All questions and requests for additional information regarding this RFQ must be received before 5 p.m. PT on February 9, 2021, and answers will be posted on the website on February 12, 2021.
First 5 LA reserves the sole right to determine the timing and content of the responses to all questions and requests for additional information. First 5 LA may respond to individual inquires and then post replies to all questions by the posting date.

An application packet complete with required documents must be received by First 5 LA no later than 5:00 p.m. PT on February 24, 2021. Please review the RFQ’s Timeline for Selection Process to ensure availability during the proposal review activities.
