Preschool Research

The goal of First 5 LA's Preschool Research Program is to understand how First 5 LA's investment in preschool is contributing to improvements in the quality, availability, and access of preschool services in Los Angeles County and ultimately, how children are better prepared to succeed in school.

  Resource materials designed to guide the assessment of children from linguistically diverse backgrounds.
• ECE Preferences Among Latino Families in Los Angeles
  Study conducted by the UCLA Center for Improving Child Care Quality about  Latina mothers perceptions and experiences in accessing early care and education in Los Angeles.
• Steps To Excellence Project (STEP)
  STEP is a pilot project developed by the Policy Roundtable for Childcare to help parents make informed childcare choices.
