Lactation Support Program
Optimizing infant and child health, growth and development will be addressed through the establishment of a supportive lactation environment.  Nurses trained and educated in lactation techniques will provide support to increase the number of mothers’ breastfeeding at the time of discharge.  Special attention will be paid to women (such as African-American and Asian-American) whose cultural believes might presents a challenge to initiating and sustaining breastfeeding.
