Lennox Unified School District: School Readiness Center

"La Casita" and "La Escuelita"
The Lennox School Readiness Center has two sites in the community, "La Casita" and "La Escuelita", which provide school readiness services to children ages 0 to 5 and coordination of the school readiness service already provided to children age 3-5 attending Lennox State Preschool.  Support services provided include: reading-aloud, singing, playing and infant massage to foster positive interactions between parents and infants, toddlers and preschool-age children and encourage early literacy and intellectual development; child development courses, parenting skills courses, special topic workshops, play groups, and parent support groups; language assessments to children within 30 days of their start date  to identify areas of physical, emotional, linguistic and cognitive growth and referrals and linkages to social services are provided.
