The goal of Reach Out and Read is to improve chances for school success by developing language and learning skills and strengthening parent-child bonds. Families at Kaiser Permanente Baldwin Park and satellite clinics in Montebello and San Dimas will receive the Reach Out and Read Intervention. This is done through well child visits where medical providers give age-appropriate books to every child and discuss the importance of reading and how daily reading activities can help in the development of language and learning skills. This is a five year grant. |
