The Child Development Center is a private, non-profit center operated by the Los Angeles County Fair Association in alliance with the University of La Verne - since 1991. In accord with its mission, the Child Development Center is committed to providing a high quality early childhood program, offering a safe and nurturing environment while promoting the physical, social, emotional and intellectual development of young children. McKinley Ave. Pomona, CA 91768 http://www.fairplex.com/fp/foundations/ChildDevelopmentCenter/ Funding For: Adult Literacy Services and Early Childhood Education Program The Child Development Center at Fairplex (CDC) is operated by the Los Angeles County Fair Association in partnership with the University of La Verne (ULV) serving children from eight weeks to six years, and providing training for their parents/caregivers and child development students from ULV. The program has added adult literacy services in the areas of general equivalency diploma (GED) preparation, adult basic education, technology skills, vocational counseling and additional adult literacy materials in both English and Spanish. |
