Program Funding: School Readiness
 
The Housing Authority owns and manages housing for low-income people, administers subsidized housing programs, and conducts direct service programs in the City of Los Angeles. Services business services, housing services, welfare-to-work services and WIA programs. There are age, income and geographic restrictions for some services.  This is a site of the Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles.

Boyle Heights 90023 School Readiness Project
The Boyle Heights School Readiness Project serves children ages 0-5 and their families in the Boyle Heights neighborhood of 90023.  Major program activities include: in-Home School Readiness for children ages 0-5, and their parents and unlicensed/exempt childcare providers, capacity building to facilitate licensing for childcare providers, linkage to parenting and adult ed. classes from LAUSD  Adult School Comprehensive assessment care management for children ages 0-5 and their families, screening for special needs and linkages to appropriate resources, kindergarten Transition Program and Kindergarten Articulation Symposium, and School Readiness Coordinating Council.
