Los Angeles, CA 90019 (323) 936-8506 http://www.lausd.net Funding For: The Queen Anne Ready For School Center, located in LAUSD Local District E and Los Angeles County Service Planning Area 4, will serve the Queen Anne Elementary School attendance area as well as a broader area surrounding the Los Angeles High School complex. Major program activities include community members will receive training to use activities related to early learning and school readiness for children 0 to 4, including training to become licensed child care providers if interested, provide developmental screenings for children who are not enrolled in early care programs to help families identify and address potential problems early, improve parenting skills by providing age-appropriate parent-child programs: Parenting the Infant and Parenting the Toddler, increase accessibility of health and dental services by coordinating on-site health services from four local providers. Provide case management to coordinate services for highest risk families, create more opportunities for teachers and parents to interact around Kindergarten transition and expectations by holding monthly "Open School" events for parents from throughout community and improve access for parents of all cultures to school and community services by mailing them information in English, Spanish and Korean languages about resources. « Back to LAUSD |
