Major program activities include expand high quality early care services by adding two new all-day early education classes for 50 children ages 2-5, increase parenting education by provide alternating Saturday Child-Parent classes at EEC (60 hours each). One Saturday for working parents to improve bonding and learn how to encourage children's development. The other Saturday for "Role of the Father" to improve bonding and teach fathers techniques for helping prepare children for school, increase access to health care by expanding a local school-based health clinic's services to include children ages 0-5, particularly those who are underinsured and uninsured children, bring Pre-K and Kindergarten teachers and early care providers to discuss Kindergarten transition. « Back to LAUSD |
