The major programmatic activities include: increased training for early care and education teachers, center and home providers and parents around early learning activities and screening for developmental concerns, promoting family literacy by providing on-site programs in the areas of adult education (ESL, HS Diploma), child-parent interactive learning courses and parenting classes, providing case management for teen parents and for other parents of children age 0-5 with high family risk factors, improving communication across the community of teachers, early care providers and families about school expectations, and creating a specific physical site, centrally located at the EEC, that will house the RFS Center where families, children, teachers, early care provides and partners can find coordination of services for children ages 0-5. « Back to LAUSD |
