Understanding Sleep and Sleep Disorders in Infants and Young Children

February 26, 2010

Presented by: Thomas Anders M.D.

The workshop is intended to provide participants with the knowledge and skills to
understand the normal maturational processes associated with the development
of sleep and waking behaviors in infants and young children and the typical
presenting characteristics of sleep problems in these age groups.
Through lectures, video presentations and audience participation, clinical cases
will be discussed with an emphasis on diagnosis and treatment.
An expectation of this workshop is to create an active dialogue between
participants and presenter, discussing clinicians' own cases, in order to facilitate
better understanding of the origins, clinical presentation, and treatment of sleep
problems in infants and young children within developmental and cultural contexts.
