Target Free Family Saturday: Cooking Capers

Delight in a day of family fun that explores shared cooking traditions within the Asian American community. Generously sponsored by Target, these special Saturdays are filled with fun activities giving families unique ways to learn, play, and grow together.

Schedule for the day
  • All day craft activities: Construct your own chef hat, design your own apron, and a make an origami candy dish.
  • 12:00 - 3:00 PM: Kidding Around the Kitchen: Parents and children's drop in cooking workshops featuring the famous "Not So Fried Rice" dish. www.kiddingaroundthekitchen.com
  • 12:30 - 1:00 - Fugetsu-Do Sweet Shop: Mochi demonstration and tasting.
  • 1:00 - 2:00: Sushi Chef Institute: Sushi making demonstration and tasting. www.sushischool.net
  • 2:30 - 3:00: Fugetsu-Do Sweet Shop: Mochi demonstration and tasting.
  • 3:00 - 4:00: Sushi Chef Institute: Sushi making demonstration and tasting.
