Strategies for Managing Challenging Behaviors in Young Children

This intermediate EITI training emphasizes understanding effective strategies in working with children who are currently experiencing a crisis situation. This training focuses on de-escalation, client stability, and coping skills. The role of individual differences and thresholds in understanding difficult behaviors is discussed. Participants also learn to identify triggers to minimize difficult behavior and prevent crisis, review meanings underlying disruptive behavior, and implement appropriate behavior management strategies both in home-visiting and classroom settings. Great for Early Head Start staff!!
