April 16, 2010

Participants will learn to engage multi-challenged families as partners in the treatment process using a culturally sensitive and responsive framework; to enhance clinical observational skills to assess the quality of relationship in a parent-child dyad; to utilize the DMH ICARE assessment tool and DC: 0-3R manual to build relationships with families and inform diagnoses; to identify medical necessity in infants and toddlers; to develop strength-based and relationship focused treatment plans that support treatment objectives based on relevant assessment data; and to observe a parent-child dyad, formulate a diagnosis, and develop a treatment plan, using a case vignette.  This is a repeat of the sold-out 2/12/10 training of the same name.
