Making a Difference in Infant Health: Saving Lives, Increasing Safety, Preventing Injury

Moving from data to action in Los Angeles County, this conference will help increase knowledge and awareness of attendees in preventable causes of infant morbidity and mortality. Some of the areas to be addressed at the conference are Shaken Baby Syndrome, Drowning, Suffocation, Lead Poisoning Prevention, SIDS, AAP Guidelines and Safe Sleep Practices, Newborn Screening, Breastfeeding as a head start to good health, and Consumer Product Safety. All of these are important education components for intervention to help reduce/prevent infant morbidity and mortality in Los Angeles County.
This event will be held at the California Endowment, 1000 Alameda, CA 90012.
