Kindergarten Discovery Fair in Canoga Park

"The Village", LAUSD's Ready for School Canoga Park Program, is offering a FREE Kindergarten Discovery Fair for all families with children entering Kindergarten in September 2008. The event will allow families to discover what to expect from this important step. They will learn about school routines, kindergarten curriculum, parent involvement and how to be successful in school.
At the Fair, families will get for FREE:
- Resource Booths in health, education, family support, school readiness.
- Literacy and math activities involving numbers and letters to use over the summer to prepare for Kindergarten.
- School tours highlighting typical spaces such as: a Kindergarten class, the library, cafeteria, computer lab, classrooms, the playgrounds, nurses office, parent center, and a chance to meet the principal.
- Classroom supplies, snacks and refreshment
This event will be held at Nevada Avenue Elementary School, 22120 Chase Street, Canoga Park 91304
