Westside Infant-Family Network (WIN) presents Infant Mental Health through the lens of Occupational Therapy.
CONTENT WILL INCLUDE:
- An introduction to global principles from the Neurorelational Framework (Lillas & Turnbull, 2009)
- The meaning of behavior from a dimensional versus categorical approach
- Principles of sensory processing and modulation difficulties in young children
- Expanding understanding beyond the five traditional senses
- The importance of sensations as ‘raw data' for all brain systems' use
- Video clips showcasing sensory processing and modulation difficulties
- Integrating use of socioemotional milestones while focusing on sensory processing and modulation problems
- Dimensions of intensity, duration and rhythm for use in cross-disciplinary interventions.
- A WIN case presentation, with live feedback from Drs. Lillas and Crowley
