Increasing Safe and Equitable Physical Activity Opportunities Through Joint Use

The webinar will highlight community joint use projects, and provide information on how to increase access to safe places for exercise and play. The Alliance for a Better Community (ABC), in conjunction with the Central California Regional Obesity Prevention Program (CCROP), Latino Health Access (LHA) and Public Health Law & Policy (PHLP) will highlight its model pilot projects developed across the state of California.
ABC will present its Joint Use Generating Activity and Recreation (J.U.G.A.R.) initiative to provide participants with the resources and tools needed to promote joint use as an obesity prevention and intervention strategy in their own community. ABC will also unveil the newly-launched Healthy Spaces, Healthy People webpage developed in partnership with the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD).
