Autism Spectrum Disorders in Young Children: Risk Factors, Diagnostic Indicators, and Early Intervention

April 28, 2008

THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT!

Project ABC is proud to present this half-day workshop by Ann Mastergeorge, PhD. Autism (diagnosed in 1 of every 150 children) is a developmental disorder that almost always develops before the age of three. The issues of understanding the trajectory of typical and atypical development are critical to delineating risk factors and diagnostic factors in young children with autism. This training will include the following components: an overview of typical developmental milestones and how these relate to autism risk, a description of autism symptoms in terms of continuity and frequency across diagnostic domains, and a discussion of referral pathways and early intervention.

This event will be held at the California Endowment, 1000 North Alameda, Los Angeles, 90012.

Event time: 8am - 12pm
