| The Board of Commissioners of First 5 LA has accepted the resignation of Evelyn V. Martinez as Chief Executive Officer, effective November 12, 2011. The Board appreciates Ms. Martinez's work on behalf of the children of Los Angeles County throughout her tenure, and wishes her well in her future endeavors.
The many important projects and operations of First 5 LA will proceed uninterrupted. Existing grants, contracts, partnerships and initiatives are unaffected by this change. The Board will meet in the near future to appoint an interim CEO and has directed staff to continue to work in the existing organizational structure under the supervision of the Chairman of the Board, Michael D. Antonovich, and legal counsel Craig Steele. |
