 Hailed as "the business world's own Oscars," the American Business Awards, also known as the Stevie Awards, are the only national awards program to honor great performances in business. Excitingly, First 5 LA's Web site designers at Westlake Village-based Imagistic, have been nominated for their work on First 5 LA's Web site. Winners will be announced June 12 in New York City. More than 2,600 entries from companies of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted for consideration in more than 40 categories. "Our entries grew more than 30 percent this year, so being named a finalist is more of an accomplishment than ever before," said Michael Gallagher, founder and president of The Stevie Awards. "It means that independent business executives have agreed that the nominee is worthy of national recognition. We congratulate all of the finalists on their achievement and wish them well in the competition." Launched in October 2007, the First 5 LA Web site is constructed to be a rich resource for the many audiences First 5 LA works with and serves. Fresh news, a community calendar, and up-to-date grantee information is readily available for parents, providers, community leaders, and grantees. Since its launch, the site has allowed First 5 LA staff to quickly and easily connect with important stakeholders and share critical information. Imagistic has also been working on the design of First 5 San Bernardino's Web site, scheduled to launch in the next few weeks. |
