 First 5 LA has partnered with cable station Time Warner to host Public Service Announcements focusing on early literacy. Extending the messages from our literacy campaign, Read Early, Read Aloud, the PSA's are airing in connection with the Time Warner Toys for Tots program promotion. The spots started running November 10th, and will last through December. Click here to view the PSA in English, and here to view it in Spanish. PSA's are running on the following stations in the following cities: Stations: BET, E!, MTV, Galavision, Nickelodeon, Tru TV,and Lifetime. Cities: Central LA, Compton, East San Fernando Valley, Hollywood, Long Beach, Torrance, West LA, West San Fernando Valley, West Side/ Beverly Hills As a result of this partnership, First 5 LA is also supporting the Toys for Tots program. We encourage all readers to support this drive by donating a new, unwrapped toy or book appropriate for a child under age 5. All items donated at First 5 LA's downtown office will be distributed to L.A. County foster children. Everyone who donates a toy or book will receive a First 5 LA canvas bag. The Toys for Tots drive runs through this Friday, December 12, 2008.
