We all have such busy schedules, especially this time of year. What often gets lost in the shuffle is quality time with our families – which, really, should be a priority all year long, especially with younger children. When parents take time to play with their children every day, it boosts the child’s self esteem and helps them develop positive relationships. Even 10 to 30 minutes of one-on-one time a day is a good start. And young children will love the attention they receive during these precious moments. This holiday season, parents, grandparents and other caregivers are encouraged to give the gift of time by planning educational and nurturing activities everyone can enjoy together through the holidays and into the new year.
