Commissioner Profile: Matt Rezvani Serves on Numerous Boards

As director of California local government affairs for BP, Commissioner Rezvani serves on numerous boards.These including the California Department of Fish and Game's Technical Advisory Committee of the Office of Oil Spill Prevention and Response, Los Angeles County's Policy Roundtable on Childcare, the Advisory Board of the School of Business of Cal State Long Beach, MALDEF, Long Beach Chamber of Commerce, and the Los Angeles Central City Association.

Rezvani earned a BS in Materials Engineering from Cal State Long Beach and an MBA from University of La Verne.

What makes you happy?

Dishonesty and lack of integrity.

What is the greatest societal challenge we face today?
In America, it's the lack of adequate education among our young people, particularly in minority and low socio-economic communities.

Former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger for his impressive understanding of the political issues around the world.
