First 5 LA is pleased to announce the release of an RFQ to community based organizations, hospitals, or medical providers that are participants in a Healthy Births Collaborative and have the capacity to implement universal home visitation services to families through Best Start LA’s Welcome, Baby! program. The Welcome, Baby! program is a universal home visitation program that includes visits with the family by a nurse and a New Parent Coach twice prenatally, once at the hospital, and four times in the home. Applicants to this RFQ must be able to serve families in the first of the Best Start LA demonstration communities. First 5 LA is pleased to announce the release of an RFQ for a team of experts to assist staff in identifying and recommending to the First 5 LA Board of Commissioners a plan for sustainability and process plan for implementation of Best Start LA sustainability efforts. The selected applicant will be expected to assess the current situation and assets, develop a sustainability plan and implementation process plan to achieve the targeted goals for Best Start LA Sustainability. These targeted goals include identifying and prioritizing activities for fiscal and non fiscal resources, build a shared vision for Best Start LA sustainability with a variety of community partners, identifying and implementing strategies to build capacity of individuals and organizations to participate in sustainability efforts, identifying the feasibility of securing new and increased fiscal support for the long term, and ensuring the coordination of stakeholder engagement and leveraging strategies within Best Start LA including efforts currently underway.
