Become a Tutor for Homeless Children in East Los Angeles

Volunteer just one hour a week one-on-one with a homeless child in East Los Angeles. Most tutoring takes place at the shelter or public libraries. No experience is necessary, we will assist you with tutoring tips.


Los Angeles Times Festival of Books Needs Volunteers for April
Abstract:

April 26th, 27th, 2008 | Los Angeles
Volunteers are needed for the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books to be held on April 26th and 27th at UCLA. Volunteers receive free parking, shuttle service from the parking lot and lunch. Volunteers must be 18 years or older. Volunteers assist with lectures and panels, information booths, book-signings, children's activities and more!



Become a Kidsave Volunteer for a weekend or the summer

Kidsave needs volunteers in local communities to help us run our Summer Miracles programs. In addition to families volunteering to host the children, we require volunteers to become advocates for the children willing to help find children families.


Making Change Matter: Maximizing the Health Impact of the New WIC Foods

This summit is designed to seek input from State and local policymakers, public health and community development experts, low-income and multicultural health advocates, nutrition and health educators, breastfeeding advocates, farmers, and WIC professionals. After a 35-year wait, the foods provided to millions of low-income families will be updated and improved.
