Baby-Friendly Train the Trainer Workshop: Birth and Beyond LA
This 16-hour Train the Trainer workshop provides the evidence, knowledge and skills participants need to confidently train nurses on early mother-attachment and breastfeeding in the hospital setting. It will highlight the teaching techniques and tools necessary to enhance the classroom experience.

Women of Low-Income Means Who Experience Depression, and the Impact on Very Young ChildrenWomen of low-income means have a higher risk of depression, especially untreated depression, compared to other economic groups. This training will identify identify the range of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders including those due to untreated trauma experienced in childhood, domestic violence, and postpartum depression. Explored will be the impact of a mother's depression on her very young child(ren), ages 5 or younger. Emphasis will be placed on the mother/infant bond.
