Wendy Greuel's 6th Annual Child Health and Safety Fair

Councilwoman Wendy Greuel's 6th Annual Child Health and Safety Fair will offer health and safety information, medical and dental screenings, along with information on nutrition, child abduction prevention, fitness, sports, swimming pool and bicycle safety, and bicycle safety tips, including safety helmet giveaways.

The Wendy Greuel Children's Foundation in association with the Los Angeles Police Department, Valley Traffic Division and California Highway Patrol will conduct child car seat inspections on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Camine, Sonria y Viva con Clínica Romero Health Walk '09

In celebration of more than 25 years of service to the community, Clínica Msr. Oscar A. Romero will have a Health Walk - Camine, Sonria y Viva con Clínica Romero - on Saturday 3 October 2009. The event will bring together the Pico-Union/Westlake and Boyle Heights/Northeast Los Angeles communities to celebrate, exercise, and enjoy the growth and success of Clínica Romero.

La Cultura y el Cuidado de Niños Pequeños

Funded by the Child Development Division of the California Department of Education, the Family Child Care at Its Best program of the UC Davis Center for Excellence in Child Development delivers university-based continuing education to licensed and license-exempt providers. Offered statewide, this series of classes helps providers improve their knowledge, skills and quality of care.  This course focuses on the impact of culture in the lives of children, families and child care providers.
