8th Annual Raising Readers - A Literacy FestivalThis FREE family event is presented by Connections For Children, Santa Monica College and North Bay AEYC. It will feature pre-school aged activity tables, a Book Fair, music, story-telling and much, much more. Festival of Childhood: Peace Through a Child's Eyes Center for Nonviolent Education and Parenting's 9th annual Festival of Childhood is held in conjunction with the Day of the Child and National Child Abuse Prevention. This will be an open-air street festival that is free for everyone. For one whole day the block is filled with music, laughter and color as children and families visit community booths and take part in arts and health activities. All activities are free!! Los Angeles Times Festival of Books
For one weekend in April, people who love books will gather with people who love to write, publish and sell books. And, there’s nothing like it anywhere.
This event will be held on the campus of UCLA in the quad. Event times: Saturday, April 26 from 10am to 6pm and Sunday, April 27 from 10am to 5pm.
