AUDITING SERVICES

First 5 LA is seeking the services of an independent CPA accounting and auditing firm for the annual audit. We will require a draft certified audit by October 1, 2010 for the fiscal year-ended June 30, 2010. For the Fiscal Year 2009-10, net assets, revenue and expenses were $894,893,170, $166,292,312 and $171,191,151 respectively. In addition, Federal funding for the first time exceeded $500,000; as a result a Single Audit was required for the FY 2008-09. The Commission has received the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) for the FY 2007-08 and has submitted for the award for the FY 2008-09.

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

Required qualifications:

• Experience and technical expertise with conducting public enity audits of similar scope and size.
• Ability to be accessible and flexible in accordance with project timelines and activities

HOW TO APPLY

The application period is now closed. Individuals and organizations that wished to apply for the Auditing Services RFP must have completed an application online by 5:00 pm on March 5, 2010 (no hard copy or emailed submissions will be accepted).
